| "Winter Reflections" was shown at the Bascom-Louise Gallery in Highlands, NC in 2003. It really is two pieces in one. A piece of rya weaving covers a wooden bracket. Under the bracket is a fling hangs from a hook . When wearing the fling, the rya weaving stays as a wall hanging and when the fling is not in use it has a storage space where it adds to the interest of the wall-hanging. The fling is hand woven of many different neutral-colored yarns. The rya hanging is made up of several textures fo yarn- wool, linen, cotton, rayon, and mohair. |
